All Eyes and Ears on Jackson Hole, Wyoming Tomorrow….

Every year the Kansas City Federal Reserve sponsors an Economic Policy Symposium in Jackson Hole Wyoming.  Typically this meeting plays host to prominent central bankers, finance ministers, academics and financial market participants from around the world.  They typically discuss economic issues and different policy options as they relate to both domestic and global markets.

Come Friday both Janet Yellen and her European counterpart Mario Draghi who chairs the ECB will step up to the microphone.  Many news reports are suggesting this will be a nonevent. However, any time you put two prominent central bankers on the same stage, markets are going to be listening closely.  Both are typically very measured in their comments but either could make a comment or two to shake things up.

Tune in Friday!
