Weather Delays

Extreme cold continues throughout most of our north and central service area.  The following areas will be affected with snow and ice and may limit operations:

Columbus / Dayton / Toledo OH:  Drifting snow will hamper city operations.

Huntington WV:  Heavy and drifting snow may cause delays.

Louisville / Lexington KY:  Snow and low temperatures will hinder operations.

Knoxville TN:  Snow is expected from 10 am to 2 pm today.  We will be servicing all major areas at this time, but may have to limit operations if road conditions deteriorate.

Memphis TN:  2 – 4 inches of accumulated snow is expected.  There will be no city operations this morning.  We will review conditions as the day progresses.

Nashville TN:  4 - 5 inches of new snow has fallen north and north west of terminal.  At this time, we are not running to areas of Dickson, Ashland City, and Clarksville, TN, as well as Hopkinsville, Ky.  We are attempting to run other routes as roads allow, but they are projecting snow for a good portion of the day.  Temperatures will be dropping with a possibility of icy roads this afternoon.  There will be limited service to all areas due to these issues.

Chattanooga TN:  1 – 2 inches of snow is expected this afternoon.  All areas serviced at this time.

Sikeston MO:  The heavy snowfall last night and this morning will impact city operations today.

Birmingham / Decatur AL:  Snow is moving into the western part of Alabama.  A state of emergency has been issued for Alabama and authorities are encouraging motorists to be off the roads by early afternoon.  No service to the following areas:  Montgomery, Prattville, Jasper, Tuscaloosa, Selma, Clanton, Alexander City, Talladega, Heflin, Anniston, and Jacksonville.
