New Issue Kansas BQ

The competitive new issue municipal market lives up to its descriptor – competitive. Country Club Bank is very active in the Midwest competitive market and each deal is different.  One scale may buy one deal and not the other with a similar profile and structure selling at the same time.  Yesterday, we were the successful bidder of Pottawatomie County, KS – located northeast of Manhattan.  This BQ GO carries a AA- underlying rating and the county has very low debt. 

Overland Park, KS came to market yesterday and the winning scale was 10-25 bps more expensive.  Despite Overland Park’s Aaa rating, the additional spread makes Pottawatomie an attractive opportunity.
